NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
Inex Works was instructed by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHS GGC) to provide grounds maintenance, external cleaning and winter maintenance services across a significant part of the health board's estate.
The contract, awarded for an initial three years with the option of a further extension, covers the south lot of the wider NHS GGC estate. The principal site is Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, one of the largest acute hospital campuses in Europe, alongside smaller sites including Caledonia House, home to the NHS 24 call centre, and a number of local health centres.
Working across an active healthcare estate brings its own demands. Grounds and external areas need to be maintained to a consistently high standard while keeping disruption to patients, staff and visitors to a minimum, and winter maintenance has to be planned with continuity of access and patient safety front of mind at all times.
This contract reflects the scale and complexity of work Inex Works is set up to handle, bringing grounds maintenance, external cleaning and winter maintenance together under a single multi-site agreement for a major public sector client. It is the kind of long term, multi-service partnership that sits at the heart of our experience across healthcare, local authority and wider public sector estates in Scotland.
