Scottish Prison Service – HMP Stirling

Inex Works has been instructed by the Scottish Prison Service to deliver grounds maintenance and winter maintenance services at HMP Stirling, the new national facility for women in custody.

Inex Works was the winter maintenance contractor at HMP Cornton Vale, the facility HMP Stirling has replaced, for ten years. That track record, and the consistent standard of service behind it, has carried through into this new appointment.

The scope at HMP Stirling covers both internal and external areas, reflecting the demands of a live custodial environment where access, safety and continuity of service all need to be carefully managed. Winter maintenance in particular has to be planned with precision, since icy or unsafe conditions in a secure setting can have a direct impact on staff, residents and visitors.

This instruction builds on the trust Inex Works has developed with the Scottish Prison Service over a decade of service delivery, and reflects the value of long-term contractor relationships in complex, secure environments.
